The 2020 Pavement Maintenance Project includes sealing road surfaces, something new for Baldwin City.

Here’s what that means.

Due to significant cost savings, Baldwin City Public Works director Rob Culley is proposing the city use "chip and seal" technology to protect the road surfaces and increase longevity.

Here is a list of roads that will be sealed in 2020 if Council approves this project as is (ALTERNATE may not happen this year):

  • Driveway around the PW compound - ALTERNATE
  • Firetree Subdivision
    • Firetree Ave (N. 6th to Flameway)

    • Flameway (Firetree Ave to Bluestem)

    • Blaze Blvd

    • Blue Stem (Stopping at new asphalt at 5A)

    • Kathy’s Ct

    • Lisa Ct

    • Jasarah Ct

    • Silver Leaf

    • Crimson Ln ( Ames to Firetree Ave)

    • Sunset St

  • Signal Ridge Subdivision
    • Signal Ridge Dr (E1700 Rd to E 1750 Rd)
    • Deer Ridge Ct
    • Elk Ridge Dr
    • Eagle Ridge Dr
    • Oak Leaf Ct
  • Signal Oaks Subdivision
    • Maple Leaf Ct
    • Long Creek Ct
    • Signal Lake Ct
  • Palmyra Ct
  • Santa Fe Dr - ALTERNATE
  • Hillside Dr - ALTERNATE

Here’s a bird’s eye view of what that would look like:
